Statement

Fiona Chen, born in Portsmouth, UK, and currently residing and creating in London, is a third-year BA Illustration student at Ravensbourne University. She is dedicated to exploring and expressing the complexity and diversity of human nature through a multitude of perspectives and materials.
Her artistic practice is an ongoing journey of experimentation and discovery, delving into a wide array of mediums such as acrylics, watercolors, markers, oils , and quartz sand. Fiona Chen believes that blending different materials and techniques can forge unique visual languages and modes of emotional expression. In her works, one will notice the harmonious integration of at least two mediums to create rich and intricate visual effects.
A hallmark of Fiona Chen's creative approach is her use of vibrant color schemes that not only captivate the viewer but also serve to enhance the narrative and emotional depth of her pieces.
